The play centers on James Hennessy, an 18-year-old Irish youth who is sentenced to prison for a variety of misdemeanors. Hennessy, whose only interest in life seems to be his loft full of pigeons, mostly mumbles incoherencies punctuated by crude Anglo-Saxonisms.
“Under Jack Hofsiss’ excellent direction, a strong cast turns Hennessy’s sad story into a moving hour on the stage.” –New York Times
“…a powerful new play…” New York Post
