Individual Giving Manager
The Irish Rep currently has an exciting opportunity in our Development Department for a dynamic, self-starting fundraising and development professional. The Individual Giving Manager will have primary responsibility for leading the organization’s annual giving efforts in individual giving and matching gifts, with a focus on the membership program and donors at the $5,000 level and below.
This team member is responsible for setting strategy and executing fundraising plans for sustaining and growing the number of contributors, identifying prospects, and converting annual donors to major donors. The Individual Giving Manager will support the Major Giving efforts of the Director of Development, as well as the Artistic and Producing Directors and the Board of Directors, and will be responsible for planning and implementing cultivation and member appreciation events year-round, as well as playing a key role in the Irish Rep’s annual fundraising gala. The Individual Giving Manager will have the opportunity to develop and hone skills as a fundraising professional at an established Off-Broadway theatre.
•Plan and execute semi-annual appeal and acquisition campaigns by crafting language, creatingmaterials, and generating targeted mailing lists.
•Implement monthly renewal schedule for members through mail and email channels
•Oversee database management, gift processing, development and fulfillment of benefits, giftrecognition donor correspondence, and mailings
•Partner with Director of Marketing and Graphic Designer to manage print material creation,promotional emails and applicable web pages
•Manage a calendar of special events throughout the year including opening nights andcultivation/member events
•Proactively review current and prospective donor lists and work with Director of Development todevise cultivation, stewardship and solicitation strategies
•Serve as a primary coordinator of key elements of the Spring Gala, including the benefit raffle andonline auction, mailing lists, and gift processing
•In addition, like all members of the Irish Rep team, this post will contribute to the generaladministrative support for the organization in its entirety.
• Minimum 2-3 years fundraising experience, particularly with events and member programs
• Demonstrated ability to write effective fundraising letters and donor communications
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to support and deepen internal and external relationships; customer service orientation
• Experience with budgeting, planning, and project administration
• Knowledge of fundraising and ticketing systems such as OvationTix, Tessitura, or comparable systems
• Experience with Constant Contact, Paperless Post, and/or WordPress a plus
• Interest in the performing arts and/or Irish culture
• Ability to work some nights and weekend hours

Traditionally we hold one Equity Principal Audition (EPA) call per production, which is always listed in Backstage and/or Playbill. If time allows, we will see non-Equity actors during the EPAs.
