Irish Repertory Theatre’s Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage is wheelchair accessible. The first two rows are floor level with our raked seating beginning at row C. Take a look at our seating chart here. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available in seats A1/2 and B1/2. If you would like to remain in your wheelchair for the performance, our staff will remove the theatre chairs for you. For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we are more than happy to store your wheelchair during the performance. We will return your wheelchair to you at intermission or the end of the performance. Only single ticket buyers are able to purchase online, so for any larger parties, please call the box office at 212.727.2737.
The front two rows of our Mainstage and our W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre in the basement are elevator accessible. There is a step up into our lobby through our front doors, but we are able to put up a ramp if needed. For elevator and ramp access, guests can reach out to any IRT staff member when they arrive.
All bathrooms at IRT are single stalled and gender neutral.
Assistive Listening Devices are available for Mainstage productions only, free of charge. Visit our concessions area for devices. ID is required in exchange for a device. For patrons with a tele coil, the Mainstage theater is equipped with an induction loop, so you are able to set your device/your device’s app to the “t” setting.
Service animals are welcome at IRT. We require booking into our accessible seats due to fire safety and so that the animals have a space to occupy that is clear from foot traffic. Please email box office at the time of purchase so our staff can best prepare. You may carry proof of certification or a license for your service animal, but this is not required.
Irish Repertory Theatre aims to make our performances and our facilities accessible to all patrons and visitors. We are continually assessing our services and we are grateful for any feedback regarding our accessibility programs. If you have any feedback for us, please contact us at info@irishrep.org.
If you have any specific questions about accessibility at Irish Rep, please contact the box office either via phone at 212.727.2737 or via email at boxoffice@irishrep.org.
