Join Poet Micheal O’Siadhail along with Gregory Harrington at the Irish Rep Theatre on Monday October 23rd at 7pm for a compelling and intimate evening of music and poetry. One Crimson Thread chronicles a deeply emotional portrait of love.

“I know from over forty years of drawing breath and oxygen from his poetry what I find heals and helps, what amuses and bemuse, what probes and reveals… this is a poet who makes himself brilliantly, lucidly vulnerable…” – Mary McAleese, President of Ireland, 1997-2011

Micheal O’Siadhail is one of Ireland’s most distinguished poets. His critically acclaimed One Crimson Thread has been recently published in the U.S. by Baylor University Press. His Collected Poems was published in 2013. He was awarded an Irish American Cultural Institute award (1982), a Toonder prize (1998), short-listed for a Wingate Jewish Quarterly Prize (2003) and received an honorary doctorate by the University of Manitoba (2017).  He lives in New York where he is currently a distinguished poet in residence at Union Theological Seminary. osiadhail.com

Greg Harrington is one of Ireland’s most recognized violinists.  He has performed all over the world as a soloist in some of the worlds greatest concert halls and has given numerous solo performances at Carnegie Hall. He has toured extensively and played with many esteemed orchestras and conductors, for Presidents and Vice Presidents alike, celebrities, heads of state and on TV & radio across four continents.  His recording of Unaccompanied Bach earned great success in the Billboard Classical Charts and he is currently completing his latest recording of jazz standards for Estile Records.
