In the course of four monologues the story unfolds of the traveling healer Francis (Frank) Hardy, who has traveled all over Wales and Scotland with his wife, Grace, and his manager, Teddy. In their respective monologues, Frank, Grace and Teddy tell their differing versions of the healer’s performance and of a terrible event that slowly comes into focus. Faith Healer was first performed in 1979, and has since been voted one of the 100 most significant plays of the 20th century.
