The Emperor Jones takes place, largely, in the thoughts and memories of one man, Brutus Jones. This presents a unique challenge for our designers as they attempt to both translate the nightmarish visions in Jones’s mind to the physical stage and to evoke a lifetime of interactions with an ensemble of only 5.
