How do digital reservations work?
Reservations are free but required in order to access the dedicated screening links for Performances on Screen. Please reserve for the number of viewers in your household, and be sure to provide a working email address so that we can send you the link.
Donations of $25 per show, or $100 for the full festival, are suggested for each viewer who can afford to give. You will be given the option to donate at checkout, or you can donate here.
How does the Theatre @ Home Winter Festival schedule work?
Each full-length production (Performance on Screen) will be screened once per week during the festival at scheduled times (all events are listed in Eastern Standard Time).
For the first week of the festival (January 26 – 31), productions will be screened in the order they were released by Irish Rep. The schedule will then change each week, allowing audiences to select a weekly show-time and stick to it – seeing 4 unique productions over the course of the festival if you tune in each week. Of course – if you want to see all nine Performances on Screen, you’ll need to watch more than once per week!
Please note that reservations are required for each individual screening. Reservations are free and unlimited; donations are suggested for those who can afford to give.
How do I watch a Performance on Screen?
The link for a Performance on Screen will be emailed to all registered attendees. To access the link to this show, you MUST register for your chosen performance with an active email address. The performance will take place via an unlisted YouTube link that will be emailed approximately 2 hours in advance of each performance to all registered attendees, or included in your confirmation email if you book less than 2 hours before the event begins. You should receive a confirmation within 5 minutes of booking. The email with the link will come from firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Performance on Screens take place on YouTube Live. You do not need a YouTube account to watch the performance, however, if you would like to participate in the Live chat, you will need to sign in with a YouTube or Gmail account to do so.
It is less than 2 hours before my Performance on Screen begins and I do not have a link – what do I do?
Various issues may cause a short delay, but if you have not received a link by it is 90 minutes before showtime, please check your spam inbox and then email email@example.com with “Link Needed” in the subject line. If you need further support, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a description of the issue and your phone number. An Irish Rep staff member will be standing by to assist.
I booked the show less than two hours before it begins – how do I get my link?
If you booked a Performance on Screen less than 2 hours before the performance, your viewing link will be in your confirmation email. If you don’t receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes of booking, or you registered in advance and haven’t received a pre-show email with the link by one hour before showtime, email email@example.com with the subject line “Link Needed.”

Do you have closed captions/subtitles available?
Yes – every event during the second week (1/26–1/31) and fourth week (2/2–2/7) of our Theatre @ Home Winter Festival will feature open captions. Open captions are edited directly onto the performances. If you select one of these events, you will not be able to watch without captions. Unfortunately, closed captioning, which gives you the ability to turn captions on and off, is not currently available to us on YouTube Live. If you have booked a captioned performance and wish to watch without the captions, please feel free to book an alternate scheduled time.
Will I be able to watch the show after the scheduled time?
Our Performances on Screen are only available to view during the following scheduled performance times: Tuesdays at 7pm, Wednesdays at 3pm and 8pm, Thursdays at 7pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 3pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm and 7pm. (all times are Eastern Standard Time). Performances on Screen remain available for one hour after each screening ends to allow for streaming delays and short pauses. Are these events free?
We are committed to making theatre that is affordable and accessible. In pursuit of this goal, we have chosen to make our Theatre @ Home Winter Festival free to the public.
We ask that if you are in a position to support us, you might consider making a donation in conjunction with your chosen digital event if you have not done so already. Donations of $25 per show, or $100 for the festival, are suggested for each viewer who can afford to give. Your contribution will ensure that we can continue to offer top-quality digital events, keep our staff employed, and be artistically and financially ready to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
