Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot with Bill Irwin
Thursday, January 21, 2021
Master clown, Tony Award-winning actor, and MacArthur, Guggenheim, and Fulbright Fellow Bill Irwin can’t escape Irish Rep. After his celebrated ON BECKETT / IN SCREEN, itself a reimagining of his award-winning ON BECKETT, Irwin returns to Irish Rep to lead a discussion of Samuel Beckett’s iconic play WAITING FOR GODOT. He will be joined by Irish Rep’s Producing Director Ciarán O’Reilly as they break down the opening scene from the actor’s perspective. Bring questions and observations for a lively discussion!
Patron Night: Ask the Directors
Monday, February 8, 2021
As we launch our Theatre @ Home Winter Festival, Irish Rep members are invited to take part in a conversation with Irish Rep’s founders, Artistic Director Charlotte Moore and Producing Director Ciarán O’Reilly, in what is sure to be an evocative conversation, including questions like “How on earth did you produce and direct nine plays during a pandemic?” Since March of last year, Charlotte Moore has directed Molly Sweeney; Love, Noël: The Songs and Letters of Noël Coward; and Meet Me in St. Louis. And Ciarán O’Reilly has directed The Weir and A Touch of the Poet, performed in Molly Sweeney, and acted as producer for just about everything else.
